ADVOCACY

NOTHING ABOUT YOU WITHOUT YOU

To advocate for someone is to argue in favour of something or to provide active support of an idea or cause.

Our service objectives are:

To provide a peer to peer service advocating and advising service users from a lived experience perspective.

To provide goal and solution centered advocacy that is underpinned by a solutions centred philosophy. Seeking to resolve issues or concerns in any area of a tangata whaiora’s life.

Our advocates can support you with:

  • Mental health care
  • Work and Income appointments
  • Housing needs
  • Alcohol and drug issues
  • Child Youth and Family interaction
  • Or anyone else you may seek assistance with

Advocates are available to speak on your behalf, or support you in decisions you make to help yourself.

Oasis peer advocates work
for you and act only on instruction
from you
